Soroptimist International of the Mendocino-Sonoma Coast

Project Santa is the work of our community to benefit our community!

Project Santa
is a collaborative effort of the whole community to ensure the children of our community experience the generosity of the holiday season.

While our home on the coast is singularly beautiful, not all our neighbors do well financially and too many are suffering. For many years, volunteers have combined forces to identify needs and to buy, wrap, and distribute gifts to children in need. The gift package includes the fixings for a tasty holiday dinner, as well.

Sadly, we serve hundreds of kids. Happily, the community understands the importance of Project Santa and supports it with time and money. You can, too!

The three major international service clubs with chapters in Gualala work together on this project.
  • SI-MSC identifies the children, buys and organizes gifts, and arranges for publicity.
  • Gualala Rotary raises money and installs barrels around the community for donations.
  • Gualala Lions’ Club distributes the gifts a week or so before Christmas.
